Incidence of Malaria has recently been increasing strikingly
in Perú.
Funds are never enough, but at least two sources are available for the Regional Offices of the Program for Control of Malaria and Metaxenic (vector-borne) Diseases: “central” funds distributed by the Ministry of Health, and “Regional” funds that they can obtain from the Regions themselves. |
The funds must pay for personnel, antimalarial drugs, insecticides, spraying equipment, laboratory essentials, field activities (including “perdiem”, supplies and transportation, of which the latter can be quite expensive in the rivers of our Jungle), sanitary education, and so on.
