The hazard period is the period of time right before the event onset and its length is the same as the length of exposure effect period. It is hypothesized that, during this period of time, the individual is most likely exposed to certain agent which triggers the onset of the event. Thus we are interested to know if the individuals had exposure in this period of time or not. |
