RT-PCR shows the expression of mRNA’s encoding for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), nerve growth factor (NGF), neurotrophin 3 (NT-3), ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF), fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF-2), and platelet-derived growth factor C (PDGF-C).
