Supercourse is funded by the National Library of Medicine (NLM)
and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Supercourse is managed by a
team of public health graduates based in Pittsburgh and a cardiologist
webmaster who lives in Siberia! Professor Ron LaPorte run this freely
available online library of about 1900 online PowerPoint lectures on public
health, which some of them are multilingual in Chinese, French, Germany,
Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian,
Croatian, Macedonian, Indonesian, Marathi, Georgian and Persian. All
lectures are written by members of Global Health Network (GHN) of more than
15,000 scientists. They are the
lecturers,
reviewers, or
translators
of the Supercourse lectures. These lectures come from over 90 different
countries a large proportion of which are developing. They come from mainly
full professors including six Nobel Prize winners; Gil Omenn, President
AAAS; Richard Carmona, Surgeon General; Jeff Koplan, Former Head, CDC, 29
IOM Members and others. |
