In lung
cancer, replacement of the wild type of p53 is found mutated or deleted is
sufficient to induce apoptosis or cellular arrest. To restore the function
of this gene, adenoviral and retroviral vectors have been used to induce
apoptosis in various animal models. Other genes for tumor inhibition in
animal models are p16 and retinoblastoma (rb).
Furthermore, alternative genic therapies that increase the effectiveness of
a radio- or chemotherapy like the transfer of the genes TNF-a
, IL-6, IFN-x, Bax, antisnetidos para Bcl-2 & Bcr-Abl.
