The Dutch National Study opened in Nov.1999 and involved 6 centres across the Netherlands. Women were eligible if they had never had cancer, were between the ages of 25 and 70, and had at least a 15% lifetime risk of breast cancers. Screening consisted of annual MRI and mammography plus 6-monthly CBE.
