We believe that PowerPoint is one of the most important educational technologies. In about 1800 the blackboard was invented. It proved to be a powerful too in that educators could now teach many, rather than just one. The blackboard cornered the market, being used in virtually every classroom. The blackboard dominated the competition for almost 200 years. Then in 1995 PowerPoint began to surpass the blackboard as a presentation medium, as it was pretty, had sounds, and nice transitions.
