Resources
•This
is a list of resources both for developing a plan for handling radiation
casualties and for use in responding to an actual event.
•It
is advised that some documents be procured in advance for reference
during an event. For example, NCRP Report No. 65 is an excellent
resource for treatment of patients who have inhaled, ingested, or
absorbed radioactive material.
Radiation Protection Dosimetry
published a
Guidebook for the Treatment of Accidental Internal Radionuclide
Contamination of Workers
(1992) that provides additional information on the treatment of such
patients.
