Dr. Diane Baer Wilson
is Associate Professor in the College of Dental Medicine, Medical University of South
Carolina. Her clinical training is in nutrition and she earned her Master's degree from
Louisiana State University. After a career of consulting and teaching, she earned her
doctorate in Health Education Administration in 1991 from the School of Public Health at
the University of South Carolina.
Dr. Wilson served as Program Director of the Master's in Health Professions Education
program and currently conducts research in cancer prevention with emphasis in health
behaviors. She oversees funded research in the Hollings Cancer Center, Division of
Prevention and Control and is an Investigator in the Center for Healthcare Research. She
was named Developing Scholar of the Year in CHP. On the basis of her work in prevention
education and research, she was selected as a Primary Care Policy Fellow by the Department
of Health and Human Services.
