 November 1999: The U.S. Public Health Service established a partner-ship with Allegheny County on behalf of the Region 13 Workgroup. |
The effort
continued in 1999 with the second round of partnerships, including an agreement with
Metropolitan Pittsburgh and a 13 County Regional approach to developing an MMRS. Our regional approach is touted nationally as the first of its kind and a model for others to emulate. More than 60 agencies, in addition to the 65 hospitals throughout Western Pennsylvania, are now participating in the development of that plan.
