Another point we
bring up with parents is the notion of explanatory style. Helping parents to help children
who stuttering see stuttering for what it is: something that is many ways temporary and
specific. Parents can certainly model these things for their chilldren in other ways. As Conture has suggested, it probably a good thing to show children that it’s okay to leave things a little amiss or out of line. |
