Our results are subject to several limitations.

First, in an observational survey such as this, few variables can be measured with any degree of accuracy.

Second, in our study, we had only post-intervention data. Most observational studies use one-group pretest-posttest design.

Finally, the existence and the enforcement of a school policy supporting the state law was not reported by enough schools to warrant analysis.
