The presentation aims to show that HIV/AIDS is not just a health problem – that every facet of society, and every sector will be affected by the pandemic. We are already seeing this impact on a number of levels – this lecture takes students through these impacts – both current and projected - on society, on the demography of the country, and on the economy. The details of the impact at each level (individual, household, labour market, firm/sector, government) are described in slides 13 to 17.
