The Symposium participants concluded that “community capacity is a complex, multidimensional, and dynamic concept that requires precision for assessing community assets and for developing appropriate interventions”. The ten dimensions of community capacity noted in this report were: community participation, leadership, rich social networks, ability to articulate values, sense of history, sense of community, critical reflection, ability to bring in resources, skills, and ability to exert power. |
