From the leading role of Bibliotheca Alexandrina in conserving human and cultural heritage, and from the importance of  Sinai, which is the Egypt’s eastern gateway, that witnessed several invaders since ancient times, the center was keen to document a set of Arabic inscriptions in Sinai and to publish it scientifically in the project of “The Digital Library of Inscriptions and Calligraphies”.
