Our meeting started with Dr. Salah Soliman welcoming the attendees and the new comers. Then, he tackled a variety of topics that are related to our behavior towards the environment such as water efficiency issue and how it affects consumption patterns in Egypt. Then he spoke about project planning and about the starting academic year and encouraged the attendees to prepare presentations discussing conditions in their universities.

Then, we had presentation entitled “Rules and Tools for Leadership“ by Mohamed Mobarak. The presentation was based on “Rules and Tools for Leaders” book by Perry Smith which discussed the significant tools used to create great leaders. Mobarak  used the Barack Obama, the President of the USA, as a model, and the tools and techniques he utilized during his campaign to win over the elections. These tools are self confidence, continuous learning, communication, time management and maintaining technical efficiency. He manifested how believing in one’s abilities could lead anyone to his dream however big it is. After that, there was an open discussion where the attendees discussed how to be consistent with their dreams and the obstacles facing change.
