Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) is a private, non-profit organization, established by an Amiri Decree issued on 12 December 1976. KFAS goal is to promote scientific, technological and intellectual progress within the State of Kuwait and the region.

KFAS supports higher education through fellowship grants, conferences and training programs.

Grants
KFAS provides fellowship grants to Kuwaiti and Arab nationals. The program helps them to attend workshops and lectures to strengthen their scientific talents in a specific field. KFAS offers fellowship grants at the following universities:
● Kuwait Mathematics Program at the University of Cambridge.
● Kuwait Program at Harvard University (KPH).
● Harvard Business School (HBS).
● Kuwait - MIT Center for Natural Resources and the Environment (CNRE).

Training
Conferences and Training
KFAS organizes and supports scientific conferences and workshops, organizes in-house training programs, funds various local and international training programs. In addition, KFAS supports Kuwaiti nationals by providing grants to attend mission training, workshops and conferences. Additional information is available at
