This paper reviews research conducted to examine mobile phone short-message services (SMS) for delivering health behavior change interventions. The review suggests that SMS-delivered interventions have positive short-term behavior outcomes, however further high quality research is needed.

An electronic medical record system making use of a PDA-based tool was evaluated in Peru. The impact on patient care in treatment of drug-resistant TB, reporting and observational research are assessed, as are experiences from applying it in other countries and modifying it to support HIV treatment.
