But before you start searching the Catalog please read the following tips:
The Library Catalog is an online list of all the books and other items in the library which you can search.
When searching the library catalog you will find call numbers assigned to each book, video or other material in the catalog. In the library, you will discover that the same call number you found in the catalog is placed on the spine of the book. These call numbers help us find where a book is stored in a library.
Each book in the library has a call number. The number is like the address of the book. It help us find where a book is shelved in the library.
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina uses the Dewey Decimal Classification system.
