The Health of women, the
problems of violence and exploitation which confront women is a global problem.It is an
ancient problem rooted in prejudice, religious belief and centuries of suppression. The rise of feminism, the availability of cheap and effective contraception for all, and the realisation of a problem unacknowledged and unadmitted mean that at last the problem can be tackled realistically. It will take time, patience and sensitivity on both sides of the debate. |
