- CRASH is a large simple placebo controlled trial,
among adults with head injury and impaired consciousness, of the effects of a 48-hour
infusion of corticosteroids on death and neurological disability - It aims to recruit 20,000 patients world-wide - CRASH is an international multi-centre trial and has been funded by the UK Medical Research Council - Like all such trials it depends on strong collaboration. It will require the collaboration of hundreds of doctors and nurses internationally in order to be a success |
