For further understanding of GDM, there are three major multi-center international collaborative epidemiologic researches are ongoing. These sites include Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, the Samsung Cheil general hospital in Seoul, and Ajou University School of Medicine in Suwon Korea. Specifically, these studies investigates ethnic differences in the prevalence of GDM, as well as the potential risk factors, using standardized methods.
