Internet Association for Biomedical Sciences (so called INABIS) was founded in Japan by Professor Sumio Murase from Shinshu University School of Medicine to promote the exchange of scientific findings and foster communication among scientists and medical health professionals using the Internet.

Among others Association has been organizing the virtual scientific congress since 1994. Disciplines covered by the Congress range from basic science to medicine, education, informatics, and public health.
