Concepts are
process documents that describe how to measure, calculate, validate, or
define "something" such as a variable, indicator, or measure. They are
documented based on discussions among MCHP programmers and researchers about
what they feel is needed for research continuity.
Concepts are developed directly out of Centre research projects. Thus, in addition to a brief definition of the term, concepts include write-ups of alternate formulations, and discussions of associated problems and analytic strategies. As much as possible, SAS code is also included. Each concept is cross-referenced to related concepts and other documents on MCHP’s website, or external websites as appropriate. Additionally, contact information for people with more details about the particular research concept is provided. An important criterion for an entry in the Concept Dictionary is that it has application beyond a single project. |
