We recently
conducted a randomized controlled study of lifestyle intervention recruiting 200 people
with hypercholesterolemia. We also conducted a randomized control study of lifestyle modification recruitment about 1100 men and women whose average levels of cholesterol were 236 mg/dl. From these studies, we think that it is relatively easy to reduce the levels of total cholesterol in Japan by lifestyle intervention; increasing the intake of fish and shellfish, and reducing the intake of meats. |
