Higher Education Funding Opportunities in the Arab Region

“Higher Education Funding Opportunities in the Arab Region” is an online Directory featuring funding opportunities for higher education students.
Many higher education institutions in the Arab Region lack adequate funding and depend solely on their resources and supporting public bodies. On the other hand, many outstanding students lack the guidance to existing support in their countries or abroad. This is despite the existence of many funding bodies supporting higher education in the Arab Region.
Recognizing the need to address this issue, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), with the generous support of the Ford Foundation regional Office in Cairo produced this online Directory that includes information on local and regional donors in the higher education sector in the Arab region covering 12 countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and United Arab Emirates. This online Directory is not intended to be inclusive of all donors but is a first attempt to map out the existing donors.
