About Alkan Group

The Alkan Group was formed in 1974 under the leadership of Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Nosseir, a natural-born entrepreneur with vast international business experience. Within a thirty year span, the group became one of the leading private sector groups in Egypt and in the MENA region involved in a broad range of economic activities. With interests and activities in a diversified yet complementary business fields, the member companies are able to collaborate and pool their resources, contacts and strengths to have considerable leverage and better reach the markets in which they operate.

In 1999, the group went public as an Egyptian joint stock company uniting the already existing group of companies under one entity bearing the name Alkan Holdings. Communication and Information Technology; Trade and Distribution; Manufacturing; Real Estate; Aviation and Tourism are the business lines Alkan Holdings have espoused.
