Mission
As part of the Foundation, that has been installed by 43 Euro Mediterranean countries we have a mission to fulfill the aims and objectives of the Anna Lindh Foundation,. We perform this mission through the civil society organizations in Egypt and who in the various fields of activity which are theirs work for better understanding among people, religions and uphold principles of human rights and democracy. In that sense we can summarize our mission as follows
- To encourage and help the members of the Egyptian civil society to cooperate together and with other similar organizations in the fields of development, education, environment, youth, gender, human rights, cultural heritage and arts.
- To promote intercultural dialogue nationally and across the borders as a way to ensure better knowledge of the other and spreading.
- To help spreading the concept of common destiny and of partnership between the peoples of the area.
- To help and encourage our member organizations to contribute in building cultural bridges across the Mediterranean.
- To facilitate the contacts between the ALF, and our member organizations and their active participation in the programs and proposals of the Foundation.
We are committed to work with the others for a better future of our area, a future with no more wars, no more injustice, military occupation, foreign hegemony, poverty and no violence.
We owe it to our cultural heritage as well as to the future generations to build a harmonious community on mutual respect and equality.
Our mission is to help bring about this common Mediterranean destiny.
