You can find all kinds of fun books, videos, and magazines on every topic you can think of! Our collection is suitable for elementary school children. Most of the books available at the Children's Library are in English and Arabic. However, the collection also has other languages. We have books on history, science, celebrities, sports, animals, geography, and many more!
The Children's Library includes a plentiful collection (approximately 30,000) of educational and recreational resources for children, and it is categorized according to Dewey decimal classification. Learn about the Children Collection in terms of (type, age groups targeted, domain and language).
The Children's Library provides a collection of:
- Paper and digital books (PDF).
- Children's magazines (like Mickey Mouse comic books, Aladdin, etc.).
- References and dictionaries.
- Multimedia resources (CDs, DVDs) that includes animated movies, songs, music, videos, documentaries like National Geographic Kids, etc.
Age Group Targeted:
Books shelving are categorized in 3 age groups inside the Library, and every age group is identified by a label/sticker with a particular color so that your child can find the suitable books for his or her age:
- 6-7 years old : Orange label.
- 8-9 years old: Red label.
- 10-11 years old: Green label.
In addition, there is a specific collection for children who have advanced reading capabilities (younger than 12 years old); it includes books with a higher number of pages and books with a relatively higher linguistic level, such as the Harry Potter book series. This category is identified by a blue label.
Domain
The Children Collection covers subjects affiliated to several domains, where information is written in an easy and simplified way and mostly attached with some illustrations appropriated for the different capabilities of your child. Among these domains you can find:

Language
The Library provides your child with a particular collection of books and magazines written in several languages. Most of the books included in the collection are available in 3 main languages:

- Moreover, it includes a number of books written in some other languages such as German, Italian, Spanish, etc.
The Children's Library subscribes to the most famous Arabic magazines known for Arabic-speaking children. Among the collection are Mickey Mouse, Aladdin, and more (available only in Arabic).
