The mission of the Young People’s Library is to introduce young people to library resources and information technology, develop their awareness and knowledge, encourage social interaction between young people, and develop their reading and research skills.

• Complement the school curriculum with additional resources;
• Promote reading through library activities and talks presented by authors and librarians, and through the ‘ Reading for All’ Program;
• Meet the needs of young people by providing reading materials for education and entertainment, resources for schoolwork, and a library environment dedicated to young adults; and
• Support the information needs of young people in order to build an attentive and intellectual generation.
