The Internet has been on the forefront of this convergence
of computing and communication. The Internet is not a physical or
tangible entity. It is the integration of many local computer networks
into one "mega" network. In essence, we now have the ability to communicate
with any individual world wide who has access to a network within seconds.
Documents have changed from black and white flat print to the hypertext,
multimedia home pages on the world wide web that allow interaction between
the creator and the user.
