The Writing and Scripts Center, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education in Alexandria, represented by the General Administration of Public Education - School Resource Development, organizes a competition for school students in Alexandria Governorate. The competition is based on showing different types of Arabic calligraphy, in which students show their writings, technical and decorative skills, and how to distribute and calculate the space between lines, and how to make linear formations.
It is worth noting that the competition is one of the major activities that encourage interest in the art of Arabic Calligraphy and its aesthetics, in addition to training teachers to this type of art to raise the level of students, which clearly affects their academic and scientific studies.

 The Children’s Library and the Young People’s Library, in cooperation with the Antiquities Museum, the Planetarium Science Center, the Writing and Scripts Center, the Arts Center and the Visits Department organize a ceremony on the Children’s Day titled “My Right to Live Right” from Sunday 25 November until Tuesday 27 November.

Within the framework of the ongoing collaboration between The Embassy of Greece and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Center is celebrating the Closing Ceremony of the Ancient Greek Language course, with the presence of his excellency the General Consul of Greece Mr. Christos Capodistrias.

Within the framework of the ongoing collaboration between The Embassy of Greece and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Writing and Scripts Center is Celebrating the Closing Ceremony of the Ancient Greek Language; which was organized by the center, With the Presence of His Highness the Consul General of Greece Mr. Christos Capodistrias.

On the occasion of the International Day of the Arabic Language celebrated annually on the 18th of December, on which the United Nation made its decision to adopt the Arabic language within the official and working languages of the General Assembly and its Main Committees, the Calligraphy Center organizes the award celebration of the 4th Arabic Calligraphy Competition for the Students of Alexandria schools.

  The Calligraphy Center is intending to organize the Celebration of Book Launching "Reading The Maya Glyphs" with the cooperation of The Embassy of Mexico. The celebration will be presented in two languages, Arabic and Spanish, and translation is available.
The celebration will be held in Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Conference Center, Lecture's Hall, Thursday, 20th September 2012 at 6 pm.

The Calligraphy Center is organizing on the 8th  of September  in the Small Theater-Conference Hall a closing ceremony of the Hieroglyphic and Arabic Script’s Summer Courses.
