The lecture will focus on the role of Islamic monuments , through  its inscriptions, in the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage in Palestine.

The closing ceremony is a celebration for the summer kids’ program.

The lecture will present some of the  Middle Kingdom mortuary ritual using a number of unpublished papyri probably originated from ancient Asyut in Middle Egypt.

The late Professor Abdulmoneim Abdulhalim Sayed is a Pioneer of Red Sea Studies and a Professor of Ancient Writings and Inscriptions.

From the leading role of Bibliotheca Alexandrina in conserving human and cultural heritage, and from the importance of  Sinai, which is the Egypt’s eastern gateway, that witnessed several invaders since ancient times, the Calligraphy Studies Center was keen to document a set of Arabic inscriptions in Sinai and to publish it scientifically in the project of “The Digital Library of Inscriptions and Calligraphies”.
