Biography:
Prof. Azza Saleh RADWAN, MD Professor of Clinical and Chemical Pathology at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), Ministry of Scientific Research, holding Diploma in Total Quality Management in Healthcare from American University in Cairo (2003), International Certificate in Research Ethics from Maryland University (2008) and Certified International Professional Trainer (CIPT) Missouri State University (2014), United States of America (USA). She is professor in Clinical Chemistry Department, Creator and Supervisor of the Training Programs for TBRI Juniors and Head of the Scientific Technical Bureau of President at TBRI. Since end of February 2015, she has been delegated as Head of the Central Directorate for Research and Health Development (RHD) in Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) and coordinator of the National Research Ethics Committee (NREC) at MoHP. She acted as Moderator of TBRI ? IRB (since 2006). Creator & Coordinator of the Egyptian Network of Research Ethics Committees (ENREC) (www.enrec.org) (since 2008), Faculty member in the Armed Forces College of Medicine (AFCM) (since 2014) and Vice Chair of its IRB (2015), Vice Chair of the Armed Forces Medical Services IRB (2015). Member of the Technical Committee of Regional, Documentation and Information Center for Bioethics and Ethics for Science and Technology (RDIC-BEST) (http://www.rdic-best.eg.net/) (since 2010) and the Research, Development and Innovation Network (RDIN) Focal Point at TBRI (2009-2012). Appointed as one of 3 Ambassadors from Africa for MARC (Mapping African Research Ethics Review Capacity) project (2010). Vice Chair of Magdy Yacoub Foundation , Aswan Heart Center REC (2012), Coordinator of Air Force Specialized Hospital- IRB (since 2014) member of Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University REC (since 2011), Misr University for Science and Technology REC (MUST-REC) (2012- 2015) and Associate expert in Bioethicist Beyond Borders (BBB)(2011)). She has been selected to be Formatteur Associ? ? l?Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF). Prof. RADWAN organized, actively participated in more than 400 international, regional and national workshops, sessions and conferences in her specialty and in research ethics. She acted as a trainer in the Faculty and Leadership Development Center (FLDC) of Cairo and Ain Shams Universities and teacher for Research Ethics in the program of the Scientists Next Generation: "SNG" brought by The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) in Egypt. She is also a reviewer in Eastern Mediterranean Health Journal. She participated in several projects and published more than 30 papers in Clinical Chemistry and ethics.
