The Center, in cooperation with the Spanish Cultural Center (Instituto Cervantes), organized a seminar entitled “The Remaining Evidence of the Andalusian Civilization” on Sunday, 23 October 2022, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center, Delegates Hall.

The seminar was attended by Dr. Juan Castilla Brazales; Former Director of the School of Arabic Studies in Granada and Professor at the Superior Council for Scientific Research in Spain, Dr. Mohamed El Gamal; Supervisor at the Center for Islamic Civilization Studies, Mr. José Manuel Alba; Director of Instituto Cervantes – Alejandría, Dr. Hossam Al Abbadi; Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts- Alexandria University.

The seminar tackled various topics such as the civilization and urban heritage in Andalusian cities, Islamic architecture in Andalusia and its impact on the architecture of Morocco and Egypt, and the Granada style in Andalusian architecture and its continuous impact on Spanish architecture until the 19th  Century.

The seminar will also be held at the Sinnari House, affiliated to the BA Cultural Outreach Sector, in Cairo on Sunday 30 October 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
