The Center, in cooperation with Sinnari House affiliated to the BA Cultural Outreach Sector, in Cairo and the Spanish Cultural Center (Instituto Cervantes), organized a seminar entitled “The Remaining Evidence of the Andalusian Civilization” on Sunday, 30 October 2022 at Sinnari House.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Juan Castilla Brazales; Former Director of the School of Arabic Studies in Granada and Professor at the Superior Council for Scientific Research in Spain, Dr. Mohamed El Gamal; Supervisor at the Center for Islamic Civilization Studies, Mr. José Manuel Alba; Director of Instituto Cervantes – Alejandría.
The seminar tackled various topics such as the civilization and urban heritage in Andalusian cities, Islamic architecture in Andalusia and its impact on the architecture of Morocco and Egypt, and the Granada style in Andalusian architecture and its continuous impact on Spanish architecture until the 19th Century.
