The published
public health recommendations for physical activity do not seem to be
associated with a high risk of injury and selected risk factors such as
training mileage and duration are modifiable.A tremendous need exists to
develop and disseminate injury prevention programs targeted to moderately
active adults.
In addition to these 3 papers, 2 additional injury studies using the same
data source but different subsamples of the population have been previous
published.
