When we ranked the men by the level of these pesticides in their urine, and tested the difference in ranks between cases and controls, five of the six pesticides were associated with semen quality. I will refer to these as the “associated pesticides”. Of these five, the herbicides alachlor and atrazine and the insecticide diazinon were most strongly associated with semen quality.
