Trimmings like salad oil--not the salad !--and
added sugars must be resisted by anybody on a diet. Reducing fats and sugars
must improve the diet Over 40 % of dietary energy is likely to come from
fats. Olive oil, fish oil and other fats may reduce free radical
peroxidation, thus the mutation rate. However, eating less fried foods and
more fruits, vegetables and whole grains is preferred.
