There are some weaknesses to population-based retrospective school surveys that should be mentioned and some which may be addressable. The practicality of this approach has yet to be identified. The validity of school records must be assessed and quality control measures implemented. Fundamentally, school records suffer in terms of timeliness and there are limitations to comparisons that can be made between states. |
