It has been
shown in earlier lectures how the health crisis in
Russia is associated with inequality in the provision of the social safety net. A
democratic welfare state, some other form of liberal state capitalism, or alternate regime
of Russian amalgam may ensue in 21st century Russia. It is also possible that
the failure of the Russian government to ensure social welfare, as well as economic
stability and transparency in laws and political legislation, engendered by lack of
adequate implementation of reforms, may turn into collective unrest and social distress. |
