Entamoeba histolytica was described by Frederich Losch more than 100 years ago in Saint Petersburg. It is tramssmited by the cycle anal- hand- mounth and the man is the main reserve. As asymptomatic carrier or in convalescence, he is the principal source of cysts that contaminate the envirnoment and infect other people.
