The amebiasis disease is more severe in
bad nutrition status. Th instestinal forms are more common in children but the extraintestinal forms are more severes. The intestinal amebiasis is more frequent in male children because they have more freedom to explore their environment and they can be infected by E. histolytica cysts. |
