Breast cancer is occupying the first position among all cases of mortality from all forms of cancer for women who have the ability to work till 60 years old.

It’s interesting that the left breast is defeated by cancer more often (63-63.9%) than the right breast(31-33. 1%). Probably this fact is explained by the low physical activity of the left hand.

Among the illness there were many women with late menarche - after 15 years old-38.24% in 1980-1990 and 17.8% in 1991-2000.

In Armenia in the last 10 years there are the problems of iodine deficiency with the increase of the level of endemic goiter.

It’s known that the problems of the thyroid gland may affect the function of the breast gland (3 ) .This study was intended to contribute to the understanding of the increase in the level of morbidity and mortality from breast cancer. It can help to work out principles for reducing the level of breast cancer in Armenia.
