In summary, the incidence of SGA is higher
in mothers with preeclampsia that in normotensive mothers. However, the incidence of LGA
is also higher in mothers with preeclampsia that in normotensive mothers. And majority of
babies born to mothers with preeclampsia are appropriate-for-gestational age (AGA) or even
LGA. Data from Canada, China, Europe, South-Africa, US (CPEP trial) show that preeclampsia is also associated with an increased rate of high birth weight. |
