Examination of the link between epidemiology and economics will show the relation between disease risk (Hammer, 1993, cited by Brinkmann and Brinkmann, 1995) and resource allocation. Studies incorporating both epidemiologic and socioeconomic factors are limited. We therefore have attempted to fill such a gap in Myanmar.
