This issue was dedicated to research papers regarding the archaeological excavations in the Red Sea for commemorating the Professor Abdulmoneim Abdulhalim Sayed, Professor of Ancient History and Archaeology, Faculty of Arts-Alexandria University, and the Pioneer of “Red Sea Inscriptions Studies”. He discovered in 1977 Wadi Gawasis port on the  Red Sea coast; the port from which the commercial expeditions to Punt were launched during the Pharaonic period.
