Arabic Calligraphy competition for the students of Alexandria schools

A celebration and exhibition of “Arabic Calligraphy competition for the students of Alexandria schools” was held on Thursday 23 of December 2010 in Bibliotheca Alexandrina in the framework of the cooperation between Calligraphy Center with the Directorate of the Education and Tutoring in Alexandria governorate. There were about 114 students who had participated in this competition, and there were 23 winner students from the three learning stages. The celebration was attended by Mr. Mahmoud Emerah, the Deputy of Ministry of Education and Tutoring in Alexandria, who launched the exhibition and handed out the certificates of appreciation to the winner students. Also, Azza Ezzat, the head of Publication and Research Unit, handed out the certificates of appreciation to the employees of Directorate of the Education and Tutoring in Alexandria who organized this competition. It is worth mentioning that this competition is held annually and aims to the discovery of students’ talents in different arts and types of writing, accordingly take part in the various activities of Calligraphy Center.
