The course will focus on the origins and development of the ancient Egyptian language throughout the history. Students will have the chance to learn about the signs of Hieroglyphic script, grammar rules, sentence structure, and different tenses By the end of the course, students will be able to read complete words, dating and offering formulas, simple original texts –taken from monuments-, names and titles of Kings and Gods.
The Course is designed to meet the needs of beginners, amateurs , and students of faculties like of Arts and Tourism, and tour guides as well.
The Course begins on 2 November and ends on 20 November 2014, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly, in Room “D”, Conference Center, Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
