Course entitled “Aramaic Inscriptions: Reading and Analyzing”

The course aims at learning Aramaic scripts through practical training by reading different texts and determining their type, date and source.
The course will also shed light on the steps of the scientific publishing of the Aramaic inscriptions from the selection of text to the completion of the study, as well as the identification of new trends in Aramaic inscriptions. In addition, participants will acquire many practical skills that will help them to read, understand and analyze Aramaic inscriptions through a variety of models. This course will enable them to read Aramaic inscriptions and grammar. It will also give a brief historical background on the sites settled by Arameans.
The course targets those who work or interested in the field of inscriptions as well as the history and archaeology of the ancient near East and Arabian Peninsula, in addition to postgraduate students.
